About me

I've been running Linux servers for over ten years. A passion became a profession. Today, 35+ virtual machines run on my own Proxmox cluster, behind a multi-tier segmented network, with encrypted, restore-tested backups. That is my own "data center in miniature", documented like a production environment. What I offer, I run myself, every day.

Frequent questions

What does it cost?

Fixed package prices instead of open-ended hourly billing: you know the price before I start. The initial consultation gives you an honest assessment, free of charge.

Am I locked into a contract?

No. Projects are one-off fixed-price engagements. Monthly care can be cancelled. I'd rather convince through work than through contract terms.

What happens in an emergency or data loss?

That's exactly what tested backups are for: we verify restores before the emergency, and document how they work.

Will I understand what you're doing?

Yes, that's part of the job. No jargon, everything documented in writing and explained so you can pass it on to your team.

How do you handle data protection (GDPR)?

Essential for practices and law firms: a data processing agreement (DPA) is part of every engagement, data stays on systems in Germany, backups are encrypted, and I work aligned with the German BSI baseline-protection methodology. Data protection isn't an add-on, it's the default.
